Privacy policy

1. Who am I?
This website is operated by Wolf Vandekerckhove, located at Casinoplein 12 bus 101, 9000 Ghent. For any questions regarding privacy, you can contact me via info@wolfvandekerckhove.com. I value the protection of your personal data and process your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What personal data do I collect?
When you contact me through the contact form, I collect the information necessary to process your request:
- type of service (new build, interior, furniture, renovation or other)
- name
- email address
- project details and information about your project
- music that makes you feel most at home (optional)

The question about music is optional and helps me better understand your personality, preferences and way of living. Not providing this information has no impact on your request.

When you browse this website, certain data is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit. This includes data collected via Meta Pixel — see section 4 for details.

3. Why do I collect this information?
I use your personal data to
- respond to your inquiry
- contact you regarding a potential project
- better understand your wishes and project context
- tailor my services to your needs
- show relevant advertisements and measure their performance, where you
have given consent via the cookie banner

I do not use your personal data for other purposes without your consent.

4. Cookies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the website functions correctly, and — with your consent — to analyse and improve the use of the website and to show relevant advertising.

Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to work properly (e.g. remembering your cookie preferences) and do not require your consent.

Marketing cookies: Meta Pixel
With your consent, this website uses Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Meta Pixel allows me to:
- measure the effectiveness of my advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram
- build custom or lookalike target audiences for advertising purposes
- better understand how visitors use the website

Through Meta Pixel, data such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and actions you take on the website (e.g. submitting the contact form) may be shared with Meta. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy) and, in doing so, acts as an independent controller alongside me for its own purposes. Because Meta is based in the United States, this involves a transfer of your data outside the European Economic Area; Meta relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard this transfer.

Meta Pixel and other non-essential cookies are only activated after you have given your consent through the cookie banner on this website. You can withdraw your consent at any time via your cookie settings or your browser settings.

5. Retention period
I do not keep personal data longer than necessary.
Contact requests are stored for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and, where applicable, to follow up on a potential collaboration. After this period, the data will be deleted or anonymised, unless there is a legal obligation requiring longer retention.

6. Sharing of personal data
I do not sell or rent your personal data. Your data may only be shared with parties necessary for the operation of this website or our services, such as:
- website hosting providers
- form processing services
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, for advertising purposes via Meta Pixel (only with your consent)
- other technical partners

These parties process your data only according to my instructions and with appropriate security measures — with the exception of Meta, which, as explained in section 4, also processes data collected via Meta Pixel for its own purposes as an independent controller.

7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- object to certain processing activities, including profiling for direct marketing purposes
- withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent (such as Meta Pixel)
- lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be

To exercise these rights, please contact me via info@wolfvandekerckhove.com

8. Security
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

9. Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy may be updated when my practice or legal obligations change.
